So Kissable

This photo is of my brother Adrian smooching with Abbey.  She was trying to conn him into picking her up.  She was such a lovey dovey girl.

I used some masks and Crafter's templates, MME stamps, gems, white paint, a silver glitter pen and Webster's Story Teller alphas.

thanks for looking.
Here is Where Our Story Begins

Good Morning,
I finally got a picture of the other 16 x 20 canvas I did for friends.  I've never met these people but feel I know them.  They have one of our puppies and run a kennel with all the dogs living like family and our Willow is very happy there running with the dogs and the children.

I painted the canvas with Ceramcoat Spice Brown and used a Crafter's brick mask and some gesso mixed with a bit of the Spice Brown, used Tim Holtz Flourish mask and a few other masks with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Ink, Bo Bunny papers and also some Simple Stories papers, distressed the edges and inked with Walnut ink.

Savannah and the puppies - 8 days old

here's my final layout for today of mom and her babies

Enjoy the rest of your day!
Brown Eyed Girl

I'm back again with a layout of our 2 1/2 year old girl Tessa.  She has the most beautiful liquid brown eyes.  It's these eyes that looked at me and we ended up bringing home 2 puppies instead of the 1 we planned on. She knows how to work them too!

Again, just papers from my stash, a Fiskars border punch, glittery chipboard alphas and a Tim Holtz grunge heart that I inked with Tim Holtz distress inks Rusty Hinge and Walnut, some MME border stamps and some ColorBox Chestnut ink.

Since supper is ready to go in the oven, I may just start on another layout.
Lucky Pudge

Just finished another Pudge layout.  This photo was just before bedtime after their feeding and playtime and I had just put him to bed for the night and he looked up begging to be picked up.  Of course, as always, I obliged.  Couldn't say no to that sweet little boy!

I used some old papers from my stash and embellies from the Lucky Me line that I think came from Little Yellow Bicycle a few years ago.
Tweet Willow Grace

Here's a quick layout I just did this morning of sweet little Willow Grace just waking up from a nap.  She was 8 days old in this picture and weighed 1.8 lbs.

I used some old Bo Bunny from my stash.

Have a great day.

Here is my page for the challenge

I used all 4 inspiration photos on this layout. I love the colour combination selected. I used flourishes from Photo 1, the layout is about a female puppy from Photo 2, I used ribbons and metal brads for Photo 3 and I used a border punch and journalled for Photo 4. My journalling reads "Our puppy Abbey was so little that she had to use her brother Pudge to lean on to feed. Pudge treated her like a Queen"
I used paper from my stash, rubons from Dream Street Papers, and Kimberly Poloson, Tim Holtz walnut distress ink,  pearls, Bo Bunny brads, transparency and embellies from K & Co. I inked the edges on all my embellies and paper and popped up the flowers and crown.

Thursday 21 February 2013

This is one of two 16 x 20 canvases I made for the family who has our first born puppy, Willow.  This photo was taken in December of their children and I found the idea on Erin Blegin's blog and just loved the wording so I've changed the design to suit a single photo and used Bo Bunny paper, distressing with Tim Holtz Walnut Ink, the windows and shutters are popped up with a second layer, the clock is popped up, the hinges are Tim Holtz grundge board, misc brads, and 3 little metal embellies from Tim Holtz.  The canvas was painted with Delta Spice Brown. I used Glossy Accents by Ranger to attach the letters and most of the other items to the canvas but used Mod Podge on the back of the paper.

James and Willow for Mark's Finest Papers Challenge 3

It's time for Challenge 3 over at Mark's Finest Papers, a Heindrich Co
This week it's a sketch challenge featuring a sketch from Page Maps
Here's the sketch and a link to their website:
http://mfpspeedytv.ning.com/page/scrapbook-challenge-3-02-21-13

and here's my take on the sketch

These pictures are of our first born puppy, who we named Willow Grace.  These pictures show her in her new home with James, one of four children she loves.  Her new name is Joanna Chai and in these pictures she is 4 months old. I'm very fortunate to get to share in her new life through pictures and emails.

I used misc paper,  the Go Ahead and Howl stamp from the North American Woods stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers,a MS border punch, and snowflakes, snowmen and a rubon from my stash and Dear Lizzy letters from American Crafts that was a gift from Nina Brook Designs with my last order of papers. Check out their site for some great deals - http://ninabrookdesigns.com/

Dress Up Day with Granny,

This layout is with pictures of my friend Cathy and her granddaughter Emma.  Emma loves to play dress up when she visits Granny.

I used MME Lost and Found paper, distressed and inked the edges with ColorBox pink and charcoal inks, used an MS border punch, misc gems, rub ons from my stash, Kissing Booth letters and doilies and I popped up the two smaller photos.

Memories Are The Stars That Brighten Our Dreams

hi there,

here's a layout I just did this morning of Savannah with Willow in the pink ribbon and little Abbey in the yellow ribbon.  They are 17 days old here and snuggled up to their mom's face.

I used MME Kissing Booth papers, a Martha Stewart Around the Page punch, a white lacy rub-on from my stask, some pieces of doily, ColorBox Chestnut ink, letters from Kissing Booth, a Zva bling swirl, misc flowers and bling and distresses the edges of the back paper with the Zutter Distress it All.

thanks for looking and have a great day

Monday 18 February 2013

I just finished another entry for the Color Combos Challenge 232.

I've had this picture from a travel magazine for a couple years waiting for a chance to use it and it was the perfect colors for this challenge. After I finished the page I found the multi-green letters in my box as well. These are pictures of my brother with our puppy Abbey who I nicknamed Abbeykins. I popped up the photos over the picture and did a bit of stamping and distressed the edges and inked with ColorBox Evergreen.

why not hop on over to their site and play along and see what the others have created with these great colors.

Sunday 17 February 2013

Good morning,  It's a very, very cold morning here in southern Ontario.  Hubby said it's the coldest morning yet when he took the dogs to the dog park and of course they like to stay awhile.   Just finished this layout of Savannah and her puppies at 5 weeks old.  It didn't matter how old they got they still wanted mom's milk and it wasn't easy for her once they grew teeth.  She was pretty patient with them - this photo is their bedtime snack.

I used papers from my stash, distressed all the edges with the Zutter Distress It All, inked the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut and Aged Mahogany, used some LOVE tickets I printed, a Nuture definition from an old book from Paper Pizazz definitions and words ephemera, a little clothepin that I coloured with a glitter marker, a Tim Holtz grunge swirl that I inked with Aged Mahogany then used the burundy glitter marker, and a Tim Holtz little heart trinket and some MME stamps.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Saturday 16 February 2013

I've been having a productive day today - with scrapbooking at least.  Here's a layout I just did this afternoon of hubby with Pudge and Skye when they were 2 weeks old.  They were a handful and quite squirmy but so adorable.

This is the start of a new challenge at Color Combos - challenge 232.
here is the color pallete for this week.

I picked a picture of Sklyar, one of our puppies, at 4 months old.  Her new owners brought her to visit just before Christmas and it was so good to see her as we hadn't seen her since the end of September.  In 4 months she has grown bigger than her mom and is a bundle of joy and energy.  She is holding Leo her favourite toy.

here is my take on the challenge.  I used color blocking, some stencilling, inked the edges of everything with Tim Holtz Pine Needles, used a rub-on and clustered my elements with just one big flower.

so go on over to Color Challenges and check out what the design team has created and give the challenge a try.

Good Morning,  It's a very cold day here in Southern Ontario with a few flakes of snow coming down.  Last nite I finished this layout of our puppy Abbey at bedtime snuggled up to her new giraffe toy.  I guess she used him instead of one of the other pups for a pillow.  The others were still playing but she was zonked for the day.  She is 6 weeks old in this picture.

I used some cardstock and patterned paper from my stash, a MS around the page border punch, a Fiskars border punch TH vintage photo distress ink, stamped the three tickets and inked with rusty hinge and used an orange glitter marked on the edges, popped up the leaves of the flowers, stamped the clouds and stamped DREAM on them, used some MME stamps and misc gems and pop dots and a Sassfrass corner sticker.

Have a great day!

Mark's Finest Challenge 2 - Dream Weavers

Good morning,  Hope everyone is having a great day!  It's time for the SpeedyTV Scrapbook Challenge and Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co and this week's theme is based on Valentine's and/or Love.  Entries must have stamping on them and you do not have to use Mark's Finest stamps but if you do your chances of winning are doubled.  And they have some great stamps to choose from. Here's their link:   http://mfpspeedytv.ning.com/page/scrapbook-challenge-2-02-14-13

For challenge 2 I chose a photo of our puppies Pudge and Abbey sleeping together with their arms around each other. They were best buds from the time they were born. Pudge loved nothing better than to lay on top of Abbey when he was sleeping and he was so much bigger than she was we had to watch he didn't smother her. Here is my layout called Dream Weavers.

PP - MME Lost and Found
Stamps - Mark's Finest Papers Stamp Sets Christmas in the Country and New Pines.
Stamps - MME stamps
Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Warm Lipstick, Fired Brick and Black Soot
Tattered Angels masks
Zutter Distress All
MS heart punch
Misc Ric Rac
Misc pop dots
Hi folks,

The first challenge at Mark's Finest Papers is over and I was lucky enough to be chosen the winner for my Pudge Love layouts. I received the Sand Dollar stamp set as a prize. Thanks to Mark's Finest Papers and the scrapbooking challenge for hosting the challenges.  Here's the stamp set I won.

Sunday 10 February 2013

This layout shows Savannah kissing Skye the day after they were born.  She was very proud of her puppies.  The blue ribbon is Sonnet Nite Skye, yellow ribbon is Abbey Rose, pink ribbon is Willow Grace and the one with no ribbon is Red Warrior Clancy's Piper whose name became Pudge within a few days of his birth.  He had a huge appetite and never stopped eating.  We continued to watch daily as he gained so much more than the girls.
This was a quicky page with elements from DCWV kit.

Saturday 9 February 2013

Here's another layout I completed last week for the Color Combos Challenge 230.  It's of a friend's granddaughter taken at Christmas 2012 in a cute little sweater with Scotty dogs on it.  I used distressing and Tim Holtz inks,  canvas hearts, a rub-on, some doilies and made some Scotty dog embellishments to go with the dogs on her sweater. Here is the color pallete we were given"

Here's a couple more layouts I've finished for our Puppy Scrapbook.  The puppies were born last August 4 but I completed a scrapbook for each of the families who bought a puppy so I'm only now getting to our book.

The first photo is of our puppy Willow Grace cuddling up to her mom Savannah.

The second layout if of my brother Adrian holding all 4 puppies - a real handfull.  There is Willow Grace, AbbeyRose, Skye and Pudge.

Hello,   I am new to the blogging world and this is my first post.  I wanted to enter the Scrapbooking Challenge at Mark's Finest Papers - a Heinrich Co. so guess I need a blog in order to do that.

I also used this photo for Color Combos Challenge 230.  Here is the Color Challenge pallete

http://colorcombosgalore.ning.com/photo

I used the poodle from the Fabulous Dog Set at Mark's on this double layout.  The pictures are of our only male puppy, Pudge, being cuddled by my brother.  Pudge was 8 weeks old in this picture.  He is one of a litter of 3 girls and 1 boy born to our Standard Red Poodle, Savannah.  He is in his new forever home now with a loving family and already at 6 months is much bigger than his mom.
